Mould and salt rising damp are seriously damaging to a house. Painting over them simply does not work. The problem must be properly diagnosed and treated with the correct products.

• Mould problems have a variety of causes and therefore a variety of solutions are needed. Firstly Secotec will remove and cure the existing mould, then decide whether fitting a simple energy efficient heat recovery ventilation unit will be sufficient or a positive air system is needed, We also have a range of anti condensation and damp barrier treatments for inside and out.

• Water ingress may be from a variety of sources, from simple rainwater not being directed away from the building, roofing tile broken or plumbing leaks. For every problem we have a solution, the identification of the source is imperative in deciding treatment. We also have a range of electrical and chemical diagnostic equipment along with fully trained and experienced staff.

• Rising damp is slightly more complicated in Spanish construction as building methods are different than in Britain. Secotec has extensive experience of all types of Spanish building styles and construction materials. Following our survey we will assess and recommend a particular damp proofing method from chemical to electrical osmosis barrier methods. This solution will be tailored to your particular house construction. Salt damage almost always occurs with rising damp. Our treatments will include neutralization of these harmful salts and making good the infected areas.
